Policies & Procedures

Admission Policy

All students who are 16 years or older and have a strong interest in floral design may register for courses. We strongly recommend starting with the Basic and Intermediate courses as prerequisites if design experience or previous education is limited. Registration and payment are to be taken online through the website registration page unless other arrangements are made (for example, if a Len Busch Roses customer account is to be billed).

Tuition & Fees

Tuition/registration fees are due in full at the time of registration. Exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis upon review by the instructor.

Attendance Policy

For single-day classes, students must be present for the full 8-hour course to receive their certificate of completion. For courses with multiple dates, students must be present for at least 85% of the class time to receive their certificate or be eligible for the certification testing. Any absences must be communicated to the instructor.

Code of Conduct

School policies follow the code of conduct outlined in the Len Busch Roses Employee Handbook. Respectful behavior and adherence to school policies are mandatory. We do not tolerate bullying, hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or otherwise abusive treatment of others. If a student is found to be in violation of these policies, they will be asked to leave the class. Please refer to the Len Busch Roses employee code of conduct for additional details.

Governance & Leadership

The LBR Design Education Collective is overseen by Lead Instructor and LBR Customer Education Coordinator, Sandy Schroeck AIFD, PFCI; LBR Marketing Director, Emily Gorg; LBR President, Anne Broking; and LBR Owner, Patrick Busch, with input from industry professionals and faculty members.

Community Engagement & Partnerships

We partner with local florists in the Upper Midwest and area state florist associations (such as the North Central Florists, North Dakota Florist Association, and South Dakota Florist Association) to provide students with real-world learning opportunities, networking experience, design competitions, and career support.

Refund Policy

Hands-on classes will be given a full refund if canceled 5 days before the class. If after that time, it will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds can be submitted via email.

Blossom online class refunds will not be given once the book has been sent out. If you can’t attend, all session recordings will be sent out.
